Obama Asks Americans to Serve

Obama wants to add more troops and more community service workers in a call for more Americans to help their country in his speech today in Colorado Springs. Apparently, he thinks Americans can do more than “go out and shop” to help their country. Good for him.

Also, there are apparently things we can do other than wear American flag pins! Who knew being patriotic could be actually useful and wasn’t about symbolic gestures and bumper stickers?
